Lochmere neighborhood in Cary, North Carolina is a very active, exclusive neighborhood on the Eastern side of town. The homes were built in the 1980's and 1990's by many different local and national builders. There is no other subdivision like it in town. As soon as you pull onto Lochmere Drive off of Kildaire Farm Road, you know you have entered into a special community.
The community is full of grown established trees that tower over winding streets; a bicycle lane hugs the right hand shoulder alongside a sidewalk that bends its way through the
community. If you keep an eye out, you will see inlets to nature trails peppered throughout the neighborhood. And you cannot miss the natural waters; just off the front entrance is a small lake with a walking trail and just a ways further down the road is the huge community lake with private boat slips for non-motor powered boats--well, you might see a pontoon or two.
Are you a golfer? If so, Lochmere neighborhood is equipped with a semi-private golf course. The greens aren't the best in town, and you don't want to play there after a rain, but for $30 bucks a round during the week, you can't beat it!! To add to the benefits of the subdivision, there are grocery stores and shopping within 2 to 3 minutes of both entrances of the neighborhood; there is also a quaint little shopping center at the entrance to Lochmere where you can take a Pilates Class, Check on your investments with Edwards Jones, buy and taste wine, or dine at the restaurant.
Wake Medical Center in Cary is also just around the corner; the hospital is equipped with a 24 hour emergency room, full birthing center, and several operating rooms.
